Thomas Bade

Thomas Bade dedicated himself to universal design for over 15 years, specialising in product design, service design, healthcare, geriatric care and architecture. His focus was on the networking of business and science as well as the promotion of students and founders. This passion drives him to continue supporting universal design and the care transformation in the future.
The Institute for Universal Design, which he founded, was taken over by Carolin Pauly in 2023. As founder, he will continue to support the institute.
He is involved on a voluntary basis as Chairman of the Living Care Lab Schaumburg e.V. association, as co-founder of 24-7.museum (Vienna) and as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Universal Design (IAUD) in Japan.
